Welcome to Nottingham Film Festival Airlines, join us for a tour of global cinema. 7 films, each from a different country sharing cultures, languages, and adding an international flair to our film festival.
Some of the most moving film of the festival is during this session, from a European premier depicting life in suburban Pittsburgh, to a hilariously sweet Dutch comedy where where the ghost of the recently deceased decided to visit her own funeral. See the world from your seat, passport not required.

European Premiere - A family suffers from their father's obsession with decorating a metal pole.
Midlands Premiere - 22-year-old Diana is planning to move to England with her 4-year-old son.
Her partner – the child’s father – has been living there for several years. Everything is ready: the
suitcases are packed, and all Diana has to do is go and pick up her beloved from the station.
When they finally reunite and Diana can finally breathe a sigh of relief, things begin to get
complicated.
After returning wounded from the war, a father comes to reclaim his daughter from an
orphanage — but the girl refuses to go with him.
Midlands Premiere - A freediving boy, desperate to connect with his grieving father, pushes
himself to the limit underwater.
Peeling Threads invites the audience to acknowledge that life is a tapestry woven from
countless individual experiences, reinforcing the idea that acceptance is key to mental
well-being. By embracing the present and acknowledging that the act of carrying on is a shared
human experience, we can foster a deeper connection to the world around us. Ultimately, the
film serves as a poignant reminder that despite life's uncertainties, time continues to flow
forwards, carrying us toward new beginnings, urging us to cherish the journey and the
connections forged along the way.
